چکیده

The design requirements of induction hobs are strongly restricted by efficiency, heating performance, cost, the generation acoustic noise, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). These two latter topics, cost EMC, motivated research presented in this article. different levels at which equivalent load hob is excited generate a variation impedance throughout grid period even if all other parameters kept constant. This can cause nonsinusoidal consumption current goes against compliance with EMC standards. article proposes an online controller controls conductance seen inverter only modifying switching frequency bus period. greatly reduces harmonic distortion current, no matter what type vessel used. Moreover, it requires neither power-factor correction rectifiers nor any additional circuitry has faster dynamic response respect to traditional solutions used due its higher bandwidth.

Direct Silicon–Silicon Bonding by Electromagnetic Induction Heating

A novel heating technique, electromagnetic induction heating (EMIH), uses electromagnetic radiation, ranging in frequency from a few megahertz to tens of gigahertz, to volumetrically heat silicon above 1000 C in only a few seconds. Typical power requirements fall between 900 to 1300 W for silicon wafers 75 to 100 mm in diameter. This technique has successfully produced direct silicon wafer-to-w...

Optimal Control of a Nonlinear Coupled Electromagnetic Induction Heating System with Pointwise State Constraints∗

An optimal control problem arising in the context of 3D electromagnetic induction heating is investigated. The state equation is given by a quasilinear stationary heat equation coupled with a semilinear timeharmonic eddy current equation. The temperature-dependent electrical conductivity and the presence of pointwise inequality state-constraints represent the main challenge of the paper. In the...
